Experienced, Compassionate Surgeons
Jeffrey A. Fink, MD
Dr. Jeffrey A. Fink is a Dartmouth College graduate and earned his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.
He completed a plastic surgery residency at Yale University, a general surgery residency at the University of Rochester, and an orthopedic hand fellowship at Brown University. Board certified in plastic surgery and hand surgery, Dr. Fink works with the other cosmetic surgeons at our practice as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Dr. Fink specializes in surgery of the hand and upper extremities.

Andrew W. Smith, MD, FACS
Dr. Andrew Smith earned his Bachelor of Arts from Hamilton College and his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He completed the combined plastic surgery residency at the University of Rochester.
He subsequently completed a fellowship in microsurgery and oncologic reconstruction at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Dr. Smith is board certified in plastic surgery. Brian D. Kubiak, MD, FACS
Dr. Brian D. Kubiak is a Rochester native and a graduate of McQuaid Jesuit High School and St. John Fisher College.
He earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine prior to completing a general surgery residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. He then completed a plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. His interests include hand surgery, facial trauma reconstruction, breast cancer reconstruction, and cosmetic surgery.
David H. Refermat, MD, FACS
Dr. Refermat is a native of Rochester, New York. He is a Williams College graduate and earned his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Rochester School of Medicine. Upon graduation, he was commissioned a U.S. Navy Lieutenant.
After completing a surgical internship under Dr. Seymour Schwartz at the University of Rochester, Dr. Refermat served as battalion surgeon with the 3rd Marine Division at Marine Corps Base Hawaii. He subsequently transferred to Coronado, California where he served as the Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (S.E.R.E.) medical officer for Fleet Aviation Special Operations Training Group Pacific.
Dr. Refermat transitioned from Active Duty to the Navy Reserve to complete his post-graduate residency at the University of Rochester in general surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, and hand surgery. He then did a fellowship in hand surgery, peripheral nerve surgery, and microsurgery at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.
He practiced at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts where he was an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine and was named Chief of Plastic Surgery at Baystate. Dr. Refermat is board-certified in plastic surgery and holds a certificate in undersea and hyperbaric medicine. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and specializes in reconstructive surgery, cosmetic surgery, and hand surgery.
CAPT Refermat continues to serve in the Navy Reserve.
His focus is on breast surgery, body contouring, hand surgery, and skin cancer.
